Gathered as did the disciples on that first resurrection morning, worshipers will assemble in the Prayer Garden just before dawn for singing, praying, and bible reading as we await the rising of the sun, a reminder that the New Dawn, the New Song, and New Life have come in the resurrection of Jesus.

The Easter Vigil

The Easter Vigil, a service of reading, singing, and prayer, is the crown jewel of the Christian liturgy. Historically a three to eight hour service, this one hour experience walks worshipers through a brief history of the entirety of God’s redemptive history with humanity, beginning with creation and ending with the resurrection of Jesus, which is anticipated to happen on the following morning. Communion is served and all are welcome.

Experience this simple, quiet, moving dramatic portrayal of the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his 12 disciples on the night of his betrayal and arrest. The play encapsulates some of the wisdom, teaching, and ministry of Jesus in a one-act place complete with a congregational celebration of Communion (all are welcome to partake!).
