Education

At the heart of our ministry is a recognition, a need and a desire to worship God and give God all of our praise, honor and thanksgiving.  If we do nothing but stand and say to God, “Glory, glory, glory are Yours for now and evermore," we have done enough.

In all we do, we will grow to love God more and more.

Still ... God desires for us to grow up - to grow up as disciples of Christ and members of Christ's body.  Our church seeks to nurture children, youth, and adults with the love of Christ, to instruct them in the ways of Christ and to prepare them to teach others how to grow in Christ. 

Growing up involves strengthening our minds, facing trials and temptations, building unity in our relationships and acting wisely according to God's will.  So much of our formation occurs outside the boundaries of a church building.   But, still, we believe  weekly times of education help form us and prepare us for a lifetime of spiritual formation.

In all we do, we will seek to grow in Christ, be Christ's disciples and be the body of Christ to the world.

“It was God who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.  Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.  From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
