A synod (pronounced: "SIN-ed') is another middle governing body. It is the gathering of presbyteries from a particular region whose primary ministry is to help presbyteries and, therefore, congregations to interpret and implement their missional objectives in their place of ministry.
It's very existence is but another example of how seriously we believe in the connectional, relational nature of the Church of Jesus Christ; it is an embodiment of our unity in baptism, fellowship, mission, service, and worship.
The Synod of the Living Waters' mission is to witness to Jesus Christ in parternship with its presbyteries, their congregations, and the General Assembly.
The Synod Executive is the Rev. Terry Newland.
